Yavor's Stress Management Workshop pt. II
My quest to the beauty of the swiss mountains continues. This time it leads me to Leysin. I admit that I spent most of the time (all of the time) again in a nice and cozy café so that I don't really see all of the beauty but the things that I see just through the window are more than enough.Don't let Leysin fool you. It looks like a normal mountain village like thousands of others. It's not. It seems like it's quite famous and very international:
Foreign students account for about 25 per cent of Leysin’s population, making the international schools the most important economic force in the village.
Leysin’s reputation as an international centre dates back to the late 19th century when it developed into a leading health resort. Tuberculosis sufferers were drawn by the dry mountain air.
Some of the schools are housed in the buildings, which were originally constructed as clinics at the beginning of the 20th century.

This is something typically swiss - understatement. It's not a prejudice it's a fact. I have never been to another place where it's that obvious. Only in Switzerland somebody who has for example a BMW M5 would take the "M5" label off so that nobody would see how expensive his car is. For the ones not informed - M5s are veeery expensive. In every other country you have people driving "normal" BMWs with a fake M5 sign on them. Not in Switzerland. And if there are there's a high probability that they are not swiss.

Yavor's Stress Management Workshop pt. I
You see that pic? Right now I'm in the building on the right. :) The difference is that it's winter. My cutie is working today in Champéry (Valais). Although exams are over I have plenty of work as well but I decided to go with her instead of sitting alone in the flat. Now I'm sitting for 6 hours in this beautiful café in the beautiful mountains, armed with a serious dose of coffee, a laptop and a bag with folders doing accounting. Crazy but I would never have tought that doing accounting on a saturday morning can be that fun. It's great! The sun is shining, there's music around me and it's full with english tourists.Mental note to myself: When you have lot's of work to do that pisses you off change something. Put on music, change the location or whatever. Instead of thinking about how busy you are and how you are going to manage everything, change your environment. It works.
Tada!
