Dealing with rejection...
...is absolutely no problem at all. Seriously! What happened? I got a "no" for an internship at the swiss parliament. They say "despite the good impression that your motivation letter and your CV gave us we have to inform you that..." and so on...At the current state of my studies it's way to early for an internship anyway but when I saw the job offer I just had to give it a shot. I would like to think that I'm glad that it didn't turn out. At least like that I will be able to study as planned and to concentrate on my CareerDays project. It would be quite a challenge to study, to work full time, to organise the CareerDays and to finnish my term as VPF. Gosh that would have been so cool...

Highlights of the past weeks
The past two weeks have been full of highlights. Here are some of them in chronological order:
Highlitgh 1: Seeing Fonixx and Theodosii Spassov at Mühle Hunziken.Fonixx are a very very cool swiss jazz band. Drums, brass, rhodes, bass and guitar. All of them real talents and masters of their instruments. Pair this with Theodosii Spassov - the worlds best Kaval player. What do you get? A wonderfull mixture between jazz and folklore. The scent of a glass of whiskey and a cigar mixed with eastern spices and fire. Joy and pain, happiness and tears, hope and memories - everything together hand in hand. Music fluid like water but burning like fire. And the location? A wonderland where Bart Simpsons sits next to the blues brothers. A giant wooden pig is talking with Lara Croft and Darth Vader in the candle light. Toys and instruments from a long past time catch your attention while you're trying to figure out what kind of strange machine is hanging from the ceiling. An organ? A movie projector? Most probably a time machine...
Highlight 2: Watching two favorite movies - Before Sunrise and Before Sunset. Both of them with Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy. If you know the movies you know that they are about a boy and a girl who spend a night in Vienna. 9 years later they meet in Paris. It sounds corny. It maybe even is corny but I don't care. I can relate to those movies. I don't want to write a movie review here but it's refreshing to watch a movie with just two people and nobody gets shot.
I knew only the first one till now that's why I was skeptical towards the second. Fortunately I was wrong. Watch them!
Highlight 3: Do-It 2006.It's the biggest conference of AIESEC in Switzerland. I learned a lot about myself and I met a lot of people. Here's a pic of all the "nomads" that i met.
From the left to the right: Tiffany, Lena, Laura, Ananda, Sarah, Sue, Carissa, Regula. In the middle it's Zuzka.
Highlight 4: The Graduation of Petia.Congratulations on your diploma dear Petia! We are very proud of you and you are an inspiration.
Another cool thing about her graduation is that I got to see beautiful Geneva again and to meet with Anna and Luca. On the picture you can see from the right to the left: Petia, Lora, Simeon, Tanja, Dessi and the author of this post.
Highlight 5: James Bond: Casino Royal. The exact opposite of the former two movies mentioned but I had to jump on the band wagon. :) I always enjoy Bond because the movies are just funny. Unintended funny... This time I honestly have to say that this is the best Bond so far. You can quote me on this. James Bond is human again. He has emotions! And you can actually hurt him! Ok don't aim for his balls. They seem to be indestructible but anyway he nearly died in this movie. I can't remember the last time that this happened. And there are no giant laser beams from outer space. A really really good Bond movie. I hope that they can keep it up. And Eva Green is just breathtaking.

Did-It 2006
Our biggest national conference Do-It 2006 is over. I'm home again and back to daily business. My body is home that is. But I think that I forgot my brain. I still can't really focus on my normal duties. University seems more boring than ever. On the job I'm just acting mechanically and without thinking. Time seems to go faster then before the conference. Ok those are all normal post-conference syndroms. However this time it seems to have hit me harder. My perception is distorted:- I think I saw the Professor (I forgot his name) who held our "Matrix Structure" Session on a bicycle in Bern. Possible but not probable.
- I overheard a conversation of a girl who was talking on the phone. She said "guet" ("good" in swiss german). Instead of "guet" I heard "Do-It"...
- Brian Adams is singing on the radio: "Everything I do - I DO-IT for you..."
