Dogs are evil

His name is Sharo. This week I have agreed to be responsible for him. He is exploiting my good will to the max and is stealing 80% of my time. He is an ignorant egoist, has bad manners, he doesn't show respect, he is loud and he stinks. But you just gotta love him.

Sometimes I think that it would be easier to have a real human child. After all as far as I know they need to eat only once a week and don't need to be walked or taken care of do they?

I hate music

Honestly I do. I am working on a new track. It's always a difficult process for me. I have enough work to do and I don't have time for making music right now. But its forcing me. I can't fight it. I can't work, study or do anything else when I have a track in progress. It's totally blocking everything else and just needs to come out.
This track is a very dark and heavy one. Again.
There are always the same questions poping to my mind when i'm with my headphones on: Why don't you make a "happy" track? Or not "happy" but something that people will like maybe. Maybe even dance to it? Why is it always dark? Is this your inspiration? Usually I conculde "Come on! You like it dark don't you? If this is your inspiration so be it!" And then I don't bother anymore.
Then comes the next wave of questions: Don't you think that this sounds just like any other track by "enter artist name here"? Why do you think this is original? You are stealing ideas again! Ok I can handle those questions. I'm just ignoring them like the other ones. And then I continue.
When I get over all these doubts I can usually finnish the track and feel some kind of satisfaction.
But there are those tracks that drive me nuts. They have a third wave of questions. Technical ones. Why does it sound so bad? Which track is causing this over-compressed sound? Why are the drums totally killing the strings? Is it the size of the reverb that's blurring everything? Let's try another algorithm. No! It was something else. Now it sounds even worse! Why can't I get it right dammit! This is the most annoying thing that can happen. I feel the need to make a track. I start to get the idea and the feel of it right. I start producing it and then it just doesn't sound like it's supposed to sound. It's taking more time and nerves than I can afford! I have things to do and this bugger is just stopping me. And even if I had nothing to do! The sun is shining but it doesn't allow me to get out! It's keeping me tied to my chair with my headphones on...

Paper Art

You can see some more here. And I just realised that this is the 5th web-related post in a row. 4 posts about things that I have seen on the web and one about my new template... Extremely exciting isn't it?

New Template

The looks are changing here. I just made this template and would need some feedback from you.
The code is still very dodgy but it seems to be working. I'm still tweaking it.

If something is not working please let me know. Chances are that you discover some bugs which I have missed. :)
And if you have comments on the look, the colors and so on please don't hesitate to tell me.

Cheers

Zollverein - World Heritage

"On December 14th 2001, the Zollverein industrial complex in Essen officially became part of the World Heritage. An important date – and an important distinction, which decidedly changed the future of the former coal-mining complex. Since that day, Zollverein, as an exceptional industrial monument, is included on the UNESCO World Heritage List of humanity, in company with such important sites as the Bauhaus in Dessau or the Taj Mahal."

I want to go there! Now! Take a look at the gallery and check out this movie. It's so beautiful it almost brings a tear to my eye. What a breathtaking location! And visit the site of the Zollverein.
