Random post pt. IV

Today I was learning for my exams on the balcony. Ok I am still learning. I'm just having a short brake for another random post. And because right now it is impossible to learn on the balcony. Why? Because apperantly Portugal won their match against Iran. The streets are full with cheering people with portuguese flags. It looks funny from up here. Everybody is dancing, jumping and the cars are horning.

Speaking of cars horning. Yesterday the Netherlands won. There were no cars. Just orange people on bicycles. No horns. Just ringing. Don't you just love clichés?

Congrats to all the winning teams.
And to all the losing ones - so what? Next time. It's just a game.

Small world phenomenon?

I never understood this hype but now I'm jumping on the bandwagon too. It's getting more and more attractive because there are lot's of people that I know there and it's another tool to keep in touch.

Another reason is that currently I am reading about network theories and this is the best way to actually analyse them on an empirical level. :) Did you know that anyone on the planet can be connected to anyone else through just six degrees of separation? Let's try it...

What the heck am I talking about? Well about my
*drum rolls*
BRAND NEW MYSPACE!

Now every single person in the world is my friend!

Random post pt. III

Welcome to part 3. I have nothing to share with you this time. Move along. Nothing to see here.

Still here? Wow! If you insist on reading about the boring everyday life read on then.

I'll keep it short: Exams in 3 weeks. Not prepared. Yet. 3 more papers to write. Not done. Yet. But on it. Internal audit. Still waiting for a date. Plans for summer: Working. That's it. Maybe 2 weeks vacation in september or october if I'm lucky.

Yesterday in the LCM we had a special guest. Our beloved Caro was there. She talked about her experience. It was very motivating. A pity that there were so few people. On the other side it was nice and cozy.

My brother has now a blog too. He is writing a book you know. A SF-Novel. He's a smart guy. If you are curious go over there and get some teaser impressions:
free-the-universe.blogspot.com

And the last thing for today: here's another video for you. It's Lily Allen. Since i heard this for the first time I can't get it out of my head. It hasn't hit CH yet but it will soon. I guess that this tune is gonna be huge. Welcome the hit of summer 2006. It's sweet, it's evil, it's simple, everybody can relate to it, it's just brilliant.

Legend: Bill Hicks

I admit I didn't know him. He passed away in 1994 and I was way to young to watch US TV back then.

Look at the video. He was really way ahead of his time.

Did you like that? Are you as impressed as I am? Then go to youtube.com and search for the man.
And if you find it check out the vid about fundamental christians and creationism. If you are not easily offended that is.
In fact if you are easily offended you should even more check it out.
